Falcon platform is a traditional training ground for eagles among the Kazakh people. The Kazakh falcons are known as the world's last eagle hunters, skilled in using various raptors to hunt wild animals and birds, such as hunting wolves and foxes with eagles (golden eagles), and hunting swans and pheasants with medium-sized raptors such as peregrine falcons and eagles. In the Kazakh people, those who are proficient in eagle hunting are called Kusbek, or eagle hunting experts. They can accurately identify the quality, strength, hunting ability, and age of eagle species based on their body shape, wings, feathers, and other appearance characteristics. The Kusbeks passed on all the knowledge, experience, and methods related to falcons to future generations.
In history, the Kazakh people used 11 species of raptors for hunting, including Burkti (golden eagle), Halsher (eagle), and Rash (peregrine falcon). Among them, Burkti (golden eagle) was the most domesticated and representative raptor.
Strolling through the sea of flowers, one can see the purest Kazakh boys and gentle horses, experience the rough and wild life of the horseback riding ethnic group, taste their cuisine, and learn about nomadic culture.
The "three-level leveling surface" is a special geographical landscape mainly generated by geological movements such as rock erosion and leveling. It cuts through all strata and structures that are older than it in cross-sectional form. It is the ultimate product of long-term development of landforms, which is the result of lifting, destruction or burial. Their beautiful curves are highlighted by light and shadow, and have become a beloved subject for photographers. These flattened surfaces not only carry the beautiful scenery of the Karajun grassland, but also serve as an excellent viewing platform for admiring the grassland scenery. The north and south slopes of the Tianshan Mountains are extensively developed with three levels of flattened surfaces extending in an east-west direction. The first level flattened surfaces are steps and observation platforms, more like a natural barrier, enclosing the East Karakoram into a paradise. From a distance, the black and green snow covered spruce belt and the green and fluffy grassland mosaic on both sides of the flattened surfaces of the Kuerdai Forest Grand Canyon are interlaced, forming a rich and diverse "spotted forest" belt. It extends for hundreds of kilometers from east to west, and the grassland is undulating with flowers and plants filling the slopes. The grassland blends with the forest, and the snow peaks and river valleys shine together, creating an exceptionally magnificent scenery.
After arriving at the parking lot of the Falcon Terrace scenic spot in a while, please walk south along the southern trail, which is about 1.5 kilometers away from the Falcon Terrace scenic spot. As this is a restricted construction area of the Tianshan World Natural Heritage, according to the management requirements of natural heritage, only some infrastructure can be built. Now, both sides of the tourist walking path are the ocean of golden lotus flowers, which is particularly beautiful.
